Exclusive Access Policy Roundtable with Emran Mian (Director General for Digital Technologies and Telecoms, DSIT)

On Wednesday 1 May 2024, Members had the opportunity to meet with Emran Mian (Director General for Digital Technologies and Telecoms, DSIT) to discuss DSIT departmental priorities, including AI and its impact on the screen sectors; Digital skills and the screen sectors; Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill, which will create a new pro-competition regime in digital markets and confer powers and duties on the Competition and Markets Authority; Data Protection and Digital Information Bill, which will create a new UK data rights regime and reduce burdens on businesses.
