Exclusive Access Policy Roundtable with Gareth Thomas MP (Business Minister, DBT)

We are pleased to announce an Exclusive Access Policy Roundtable with Gareth Thomas MP (Minister for Services, Small Businesses and Exports, Department for Business and Trade). This roundtable will provide Members with an early opportunity to engage with the Department for Business and Trade and discuss the importance of the Screen Sector and its place in the growth agenda. It is particularly timely given the launch this month of the Government’s industrial strategy Green Paper: “Invest 2035: The UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy“, in relation to which British Screen Forum is preparing a submission.

The Minister has indicated that he is particularly keen to discuss the challenges affecting small businesses in the sector, including independent producers; and the role our sector can play in delivering growth and opportunities across the country and helping to re-generate and re-invigorate our High Streets. If you have particular examples which might be useful in illustrating the above, please feel free to share with me in advance of the roundtable.
