Exclusive Access Policy Roundtable on Lords’ Future of Channel 4 Inquiry, with Lord Gilbert of Panteg (Chair, House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee)

On: Tuesday 21 September 2021 from 10.00 – 11.30am

At: Central London Location AND Video Conference

For: British Screen Forum Members & Associate Members only

Building on its reports A privatised future for Channel 4? (published July 2016) and Public service broadcasting: as vital as ever (published November 2019) and following the launch of the Government’s consultation in July 2021, the House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee is again looking at the remit and ownership of Channel 4 and has issued a call for evidence which can be found here.

In addition to written contributions, the Committee expects to hear from invited contributors in public sessions in September and October 2021, so this private roundtable offers an early opportunity for British Screen Forum Members to share views in person with its Chair.

Please note: this event is currently scheduled to take place in person at a central London location and there will only be a limited number of places in the room. These will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so register now to have the best chance of securing a place. We will facilitate Zoom access for those who cannot attend the physical event.
