BSAC Participation in Ministerial Copyright Roundtable

The Chief Executive participated in a Ministerial Roundtable on Copyright, convened by the Minister of State for Universities and Science, Jo Johnson.

BSAC have recently held a working group for Members that considered the Copyright requirements of the Audiovisual Industries; this will inform our organisational response to the Government’s Industrial Strategy Green Paper and the Bazalgette sector review of the Creative Industries, as well as feeding into our broader political engagement activities.

BSAC has consulted Members and published a number of reports about Copyright; most recently, we have responded to the IPO’s call for views on the European Commission’s DSM proposals and draft legislation to modernize the European copyright framework, which were published in September 2016, available here.
