January 2018 Council Meeting

BSAC’s January Council Meeting will consider the latest business and policy developments for the Audiovisual Industry. Items on the agenda will include:

• Ofcom’s review of Children’s Content: presentations followed by a participative discussion, featuring:
  • Simon Terrington (Content Policy Director, Ofcom) and Kate Biggs (Public Policy and Strategy Adviser, Ofcom); and
  • Emma Scott (CEO, Beano Studios), providing an Industry perspective;
• BSAC Business Briefing on ‘The Connected Viewer’, from Ben Keen;
• Focus on a New Business: Telefed – an aggregated VoD provider to Eastern Europe, with John Griffiths (Chairman, Telefed);
• Predictions for the Audiovisual Industries in 2018, thoughts from Jon Gisby (Chair, BSAC);
• Updates on the latest policy developments for the sector and BSAC’s engagement with them, including:
  • IPO’s consultation on the Implementation of the EU Portability Regulation; and
    Treasury response to Patient Capital Review and the Implication for EIS/SEIS for film and TV production.
