British Screen Forum Conference 2023

On Wednesday 22 November 2023, British Screen Forum Members and industry stakeholders were welcomed to the British Screen Forum Conference 2023. The theme at this year’s Conference was “Strategies for success in an age of uncertainty.”

The Conference featured a political keynote from Thangam Debbonaire MP (Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport) and an industry keynote from Chris Bird (Managing Director, Prime Video UK). Panel sessions focused on the future of games and how new technology and consumer behaviour are transforming the games sector; and what kind of news provision a modern democracy needs, chaired by Lord (Tony) Hall. Tim Richards (Founder and CEO, Vue International) also provided a global perspective on the state of theatrical.

This year’s Conference also featured speakers from BBC, Channel 4, Film + TV Charity, GB News, Hardcash Productions, Lewis Silkin, Roblox, Tencent, The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, The Mirror, Ubisoft, the University of Chicago, and ustwo Games.
